Mr. Ernest Belonwu and former Miss Grace Ananaba have joined the league of the married as they were made husband and wife in a solemnization of Holy Matrimony.

 

The couple, who are now, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Belonwu, were joined together by a visiting priest, Reverend Father Gerrard Onwumelu at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Cathedral, Awka, with members of the two families, friends and well-wishers, including the Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, family in attendance.

Reverend Father Onwumelu, who charged the husband to love his wife as Christ loves His church and the wife to be submissive and respectful to her husband, said that marriage is not done on social media, advising them not to allow external interferences into their marriage.

 

 

 

The mothers of the couple, Mrs. Francisca Belonwu and Mrs. Patience Ananaba, who expressed their joy, prayed God to grant the young couple understanding, contentment, peace, fruitfulness and grace to serve him faithfully.

For Chief and Mrs. Ifeanyi Nwosu, the couple’s sponsors, marriage is all about acceptance, forgiveness, communication and ultimately standing on the side of God.

 

Also speaking the groom’s uncle, Mr. Frederick Belonwu, and a colleague of the groom’s mother, Mrs. Gloria Nweke, from the ABS, advised them to take heed to the principles of marriage as outlined by Christ in the Bible even as they prayed God to guide and grant them their hearts desires.

Responding, the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Belonwu, narrated what attracted them to each other and while thanking God for making their union a reality, they appreciated all that graced the occasion.
