Behold the King’s College, popularly known as Manbo School, Nteje in Oyi Local Government Area has celebrated the graduation of her pioneer students and the sixth anniversary of the school.

 

The event which took place at the school’s premises, attracted staff, management, parents, students, educationists, friends and well-wishers.

Queen Anigbogu was there and reports that the event commenced with various activities including welcome song from students, speech, school debate, first and second appearances of the graduands with their parents praying for them for brighter future.

 

In his opening remarks, the chairman on the occasion, Chief Paul Nwolisa, recalled how the idea of establishing the school began as a dream in the mind of the proprietor without any resources but with determination and God’s grace now became a reality.

Chief Nwolisa noted that he has what it takes to manage a school which he said, is evident in excellent academic performances of the school especially the recent WASCE results of the graduands which are outstanding.

 

In his comments, the proprietor, Mr Innocent Nweke, gave a brief history of the school which was established in 2016 with forty-one students but now they are over five hundred students making impact in the community.

According to him, they have qualified teachers and the mission of the school is to play active role in the advancement of knowledge for the overall success of the human race.

 

The proprietor also revealed that two hundred and seventy-two of his students are under scholarship from the Ozuah Family Foundation and appreciated them for the gesture.

 

Also speaking the representative of the Ozuah Family Foundation, Mr Ezeadi Ozuah, said the inspiration for the scholarships for students from Nteje Community, is that the society has given to the family and the family in turn is now giving back to the society to encourage the poor to achieve their academic potential in life.

 

The Education Officer, for Ogidi Zone, Mrs Regina Obi, in her comments, recalled the rigorous process the school underwent before its accreditation, describing the proprietor as a hard-working young man.

 

For the Vice-Principal of the school, Mr Ben Ogboh, it is by God grace that the day is a reality and pointed out that the graduands have been impacted on enough to launch them in to the future for greater academic exploits.

 

For, a native of Nteje, Chief Ndubisi Nwalieoba, education is one of the things that is very dear to them in the community and Behold the King’s is the best school in Oyi Council Area and advised parents to always give proper home training to their children to make the work of school teachers easier.

 

In their separate remarks, some of the graduands, including Master Christian Nnanna and Miss Mary-Cynthia Akweze, thanked God who saw them through their secondary School education and expressed hope to become radiographer and medical doctor respectively to help solve the health needs of Nigerians.

 

Launching of magazine, presentation of gifts, dances among other activities featured during the ceremony.
