The Archdeacon, Enugwu-Ukwu Archdeaconry and Vicar, Emmanuel Church Enugwu-Ukwu, Venerable Chris Ogbodo, has challenged christians to work according to the purpose of God and live life of sacrifice.

 

Venerable Ogbodo, who gave the challenge in a sermon during a church service, said most of the things happening in someone’s life is as the way God wants it, so times to test the person, in order to perfect all things.

Venerable Ogbodo asked the parishioners not to speak ill of their present situation but live in the presence of God, render services and sacrifices.

 

At Saint John and Paul Parish Awka, the Parish Priest, Monsignor Luke Anameze, said it is only persistence, commitment and faith in God that will help one to make heaven at the end of life on earth.

Monsignor Anameze noted that while running the heavenly race, one may face many hurdles, persecutions and hardships, adding that the joy is eternal life.

 

He maintained that in preparation for eternal life, christians should exhibit the character and attitudes of Christ, relate well with one another, thereby winning souls for Christ.

Also at the Royal Priesthood Church Awka, Pastor Eucharia Onyebuchi encouraged women to continue playing vital roles in child upbringing and moral restoration in their homes, saying that God positioned women as nation builders.
