Okpoko community in Ogbaru Local Government Area has expressed gratitude to Governor Chukwuma Soludo for fast tracking economic development and changing their narratives in the history of the State.

 

Speaking while reacting to the award of project for the rehabilitation of nine roads in the area, the President-General of Okpoko Community, Chief Francis Enemuoh, observed that the community had been the first to benefit from the governor’s projects in the State.

 

Commending him for being passionate in regeneration of the slum, Chief Enemuoh noted that Professor Soludo has written his name in Okpoko community, adjudging him as the first in championing their course as well as fulfilling his campaign promises to the people of the area.

He extolled the Governor for the dredging of samakori drain to alleviate the plight of the residents and reassured of their total support and cooperation towards the realization of the project.

 

Contributing, a stakeholder, Chief Emma Okadigwe appreciated the Governor for his vision in initiating people oriented projects to advance living condition of the low income earners.

 

Chief Okadigwe, who is also the former Secretary of the community, thanked the governor for keeping faith with his assurances for the masses, adding that the dredging of samakori had put to rest, the ugly incident of drowning as a result of flooding of the drainages.
