Industrialists of Anambra State extraction have been called upon to bring some percentage of their investments home for enhanced development of the State.

 

A frontline industrialist Dr Godwin Okafor made the call in Awka, while speaking on the thirty-first anniversary of Anambra State.

 

 

 

Dr Okafor who is a one-time President of Foam Manufacturers Association of Nigeria maintained that when industrialists of Anambra State extraction bring some percentage of their investment it will go a long way in fast tracking the development of the State in addition to improving its revenue profile as well as offer employment to the teeming youths.

 

He commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all his efforts to bring Anambra State back on track especially in the area of improved security of life and property.

 

Dr Okafor who is a community leader in Isuofia Aguata Local Government Area said that at thirty-one Anambra State has recorded series of achievements and commended the founding fathers of the state and past administrators for all their efforts to develop the State.

 

Dr Okafor called on Ndi Anambra to see the development of the State as a collective responsibility warning them against indiscriminate dumping of refuse.

 

Contributing An Anglican Priest Venerable Chuma Oranye who rated Anambra state high in terms of development said that the International Cargo and Passenger Airport at Umueri has brought the State to more lime light.

 

Venerable Oranye who is the parish Priest of Saint John’s Church Mbaukwu in Awka South Local Government Area paid glowing tribute to all those that worked for the creation of Anambra State in 1991, and called on Ndi Anambra to take full ownership of the State.
