Governor Chukwuma Soludo has appointed nine members into the state Human Capital Development Council to drive the implementation of preliminary interventions in Anambra State.
The council members were contained in a letter signed by the commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs. Chiamaka Nnake.
According to a release signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Christian Aburime, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu will serve as the Chairman of the Council.
It listed Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Aghamba, Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Mrs. Ify Obinabo, Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike and Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu as some of the members.
Others are Director General, Strategy, Execution and Evaluation, Mr. Emma Onyilofor, Managing Director, Anambra State Information Communication Technology Agency, Mr. Fred Agbata as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth Empowerment Programme, Dr. Nelson Omenugha.
The release noted that appointment of members of the council followed the launching of the National Human Capital Development Programme in 2018, on the premise that the key measure of success of any government includes its stock of human resources denoted by human capital indices.
National Human Capital Development Programme focuses on three thematic areas including, Health and Nutrition, Education and Labour Force Participation.
