The State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Sir Nobert Obi has expressed satisfaction with the achievements of Anambra State after thirty – one years of creation.

Speaking in Awka, Sir Nobert said that the contributions of the various civilian administrations built Anambra to become a reference point in the country.

Paul Ezeoke reports that

Sir Nobert noted that while the journey has not been easy, people of the state have remained resilient and persevered under some challenging circumstances.

He said that the emergence of APGA administrations was a turning point in the history of the state as it has since continued to record accelerated and consistent developments in all sectors of the economy and a pacesetter that other states are now trying to emulate.

Sir Nobert expressed confidence that the Soludo administration will further scale up growth and development with his innovative approach to governance.

Also speaking, an APGA Chieftain, Dr. Mike Omenugha said that the state has done excellently well after thirty-one years, especially when compared with its contemporaries.

According to Dr. Omenugha, while former Governor Chukwuemeka Ezeife within his short stay in office among other things produced a master plan for Awka, former Governors Chinwoke Mbadinuju, Chris Ngige, Peter Obi and Willie Obiano made remarkable achievements in various sectors to develop and open up the state with modern infrastructural facilities and social amenities that are upgrading the quality of life in the people.

He observed that already, the Soludo administration is laying a strong foundation to take the state to the next level, pointing out that his frontal attack against insecurity and measures to grow and boost the economy are clear demonstrations that he is well prepared to make a clear statement in good governance and urged the people to support his government to achieve its vision through prompt and regular payment of taxes and levies.
