Christians have been charged to always live exemplary life as Christ ambassadors.
The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor, who gave the charge at Saint Joseph Anglican Church Uga, Aguata Local Government Area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girl’s Guild and Mother’s Union for all the Parishes under Uga Archdeaconry, advised the faithful to always be mindful of what they do in order not to give christianity a negative interpretation.
Bishop Ezeofor who charged christians to seek ways of making the people to be in peace and unity with God, which he said is the purpose God sent Jesus Christ on earth reminded the faithful of the need to embrace Christ in order to qualify of being his ambassador, warning Christians against compromising their faith with Idolatry.
Bishop Ezeofor who is also the National Chairman of the Evangelical Fellowship in the Anglican Communion, EFAC, Nigeria, urged those that were admitted into the Anglican Men’s Fellowship and Mother’s Union not to see their new positions as a mere title but as a serious commitment to the service of God and humanity.
He called on Nigerians to intensify prayers for God’s intervention to the series of problems facing the nation, and stressed the need for equitable distribution of resources among the six geopolitical zones of the country.
On the thirty-first anniversary of the creation of Anambra State, Bishop Ezeofor who described the period as one that calls for sober reflection, charged Ndi Anambra to always see the development of the state as a collective responsibility.
The Archdeacon of Uga Archdeaconry, Venerable Wisdom Otaluka and Vicar of Saint Joseph Anglican Church Uga, Reverend Chijindu Anaejere in their various remarks, cautioned Christians against acts capable of debasing Christianity.
One hundred and twelve candidates received sacrament of confirmation, while forty-two girls were admitted into the Girl’s Guild, thirty-seven Women into Mother’s union and three Men into the Anglican Men’s fellowship during the service.
