The traditional ruler of Awka Obi Gibson Nwosu says promotion only comes from God.
Speaking on the creation of Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia by Pope Francis, Obi Nwosu described the creation of Bishop Okpalaeke as cardinal as well deserved in view of his antecedents in the Catholic Church.
The traditional ruler of Awka community who said that the creation of Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke by Pope Francis on twenty-seventh August 2022, which coincided with the thirty-first anniversary of Anambra State is an indication that the hand of God is in Anambra State.
Obi Nwosu while describing Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke as a humble servant of God, called on the people to always pray for those in authority to enable them achieve the mandate.
On the thirty-first anniversary of Anambra State, Obi Nwosu who described the event as a period that calls for soul searching commended successive administrations in Anambra State for their contributions towards the progress and development of the State
Meanwhile, the Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili North Local Government Area, Chief Chuksbrown Igboanua has urged Ndi Anambra to key into the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to guarantee unprecedented development of Anambra State.
Correspondent, Chukwuemeka Modilim reports that Chief Igboanua while speaking with journalists in Awka explained that at thirty one, Anambra State has done exceedingly well in infrastructural development, Education, health as well as raising eminent personalities who have contributed immensely to the development of the Nigerian-Nation.
He maintained that celebrating Anambra at thirty-one is worth it considering the political, economic and social development of the State and its citizens.
On his part, the member representing Nnewi South Constituency One in the Anambra State House of Assembly, Mr Sony Ozobialu observed that at thirty one, Anambra has an International Cargo and Passenger Airport and is viewed as a great State whose indigenes both at home and in the diaspora are doing great in different sectors and have brought respect to the state in their different adventures.
