A South African based business man, Chief Osita Offozor has called on the federal government to urgently complete the second lane of the Enugu-Onitsha federal road.
Chief Offozor who was reacting to the recent fatal accident that claimed over five lives along Enugu-Agidi axis of the road regretted that the federal government has delayed action on the busy road that connected the state and the rest of the country.
The business man pointed out that the road which leads to Onitsha that houses the biggest market in West Africa should be adequately taken care of to avoid the unnecessary accidents that frequently occur on the road.
Chief Offozor, an indigene of Umuikwu Anam, Anambra West Local Government Area,appealed to the President Buhari led federal government to complete the Otuocha-Umueze Anam-Oroma-Odeke-Ibaji federal road which reduces travel time from the south east to Abuja by three hours.
He called on the Nigeria youths to use the 2023 general elections to make a bold statement by voting out corrupt politicians who have jeopardized the peace, unity and progress of Nigeria since its independence.
Chief Offozor commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for restoring the security of the state, even as he appealed to him to urgently intervene in the dilapidated nature of the state roads, especially those in Anambra West Local Government Area.
