Assessing Anambra State at thirty-one is still fresh on the minds of some citizens who believed that the state has recorded a lot of progress since its creation.
Education correspondent Theophilus Ukoha spoke with more individuals in this regard and reports that baring her mind, the Commissioner for Education,Professor Ngozi Chuma Udeh said education in the state has been like a growing child which naturally has some challenges but also has quality teachers and enabling environment for teaching and learning.
She said Anambra State has been on the move to improve on the sector as according to her, Governor Soludo has mandated that the gap should be filled by employing more quality teachers, introduce town union initiative to redeem community schools and make them conducive for learning.
Professor Chuma Udeh appealed to philanthropists in the state to help rebuild most dilapidated schools in for umuakwukwo Ndi Anambra will have a globalized standard of education.
She said that quality teachers are needed to drive the process as Mr Governor is poised to employing quality teachers to create an improved standard of education.
An education stakeholder Mr Paul Enidom, on his part said education sector over the years has been bedevilled by the various challenges especially funding but that the only way to get out of the problem is to partner private sector to have quality education in the state.
He is however confident that the current mantle of leadership bestowed upon Governor Soludo, will lift the barrier and project the state education system to an internationally acclaimed standard.
