The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA, Venerable AmaechiOkwuosa says the zeal ofGovernor Chukwuma Soludo in turning Anambra State into a one-state-mega city has affirmed his plans, vision and innovations.
Venerable Okwuosa, who stated this while speaking in an interview with correspondent Njideka Okoye, in Awka on the efforts of Governor Soludo in working out his manifesto,citied the governor’s first visit to Okpoko, in Ogbaru Council Area in actualization of his plans for a mega city as a good step in the right direction.
He commended Governor Soludo for his efforts and interventions to improve and upgrade infrastructure and socio-economic activities in the area.
The ACTDA boss, who said that a mega city is one with a viable economy, noted that Onitsha Main Market has being the hub of trade and commerce in West Africa but has unsuitable infrastructures whichaccording to him, GovernorSoludo has taken adequate and positive steps to ratify.
He noted that changes and corrections on building and development control, giving notices for structures built on water ways and their removals are in the right direction.
Venerable Okwuosaexplained they have fortified their efforts and increased their zeal to correct all the anomalies and while extollingthe virtues of the present administration in getting things right in different areas, urged Ndi Anambra tosupport Governor Soludo toachieve his vision for the state.
