Mrs Bridget Obi, a rising agripreneur from Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, is gradually answering Anambra State Governor’s wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo’s call for women to get more involved in modern agriculture.
Mrs Obi has been able to transform so many plants into healing food supplements through pure organic processes.
Presenting some of her products to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Mr Chido Obidiegwu, in Awka, Mrs Obi said they are both nutritious and medicinal.
Some of her products include the sclerotium plant populary known as “osu”, bambara nuts, oyster mushroom, natural food spices, among others, all organically bred.
She said she looks forward to having more women who want to learn the cultivation and production processes of the proceeds, as her own way of supporting Mrs Nonye Soludo’s agric revolution among Anambra women.
Receiving the guest, the ABS boss, Mr Obidiegwu, commended her for taking the lead in the Governor’s wife’s call, and promised that the organization will give her every necessary support where needed.
Mr Obidiegwu noted that Mrs Soludo’s campaign for more Anambra women to go pure organic in both consumption and farming, is well reflected in what Mrs Obi has been able to come up with, and encouraged her to get more women involved.
