The Assistant Inspector General of Police, IGP, in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Mr Umar Mauri has charged all commands under the zone not to relent in their fight to clear the zone of all forms of criminal elements.
IGP Mauri gave the charge while addressing some senior officers of Anambra State Command of the force during a working visit recently.
The police boss said there was need to sustain the ongoing efforts to restore normalcy in the state by constantly identifying and raiding all black spots and hideouts in the state.
He charged the heads of tactical and strategic units of the command to maintain a multidimensional security deployment to fortify police formations, regular patrol and visibility policing of their areas of responsibilities.
IGP Mauri further underscored the need for men and officers of the zoneto ensure that they maintain ethical practices and shun all forms of corruption that will inadvertently cause distrust from the members of the public and undermine their support in the fight against criminality in the state.
