Stakeholders of Oyi Local Government Area have commended Governor Soludo’s giant strides since he assumed office as the Governor of Anambra State.
They expressed satisfaction with the agenda, policies and programmes of the Governor.
Speaking at the unveiling of the Anambra state Telemedicine Hub at Comprehensive Medical Center, Awkuzu, Oyi Local Government Area by the Governor, the stakeholders, including the Traditional ruler of Awkuzu community, Professor Charles Anikweze, and Archbishop Emeritus, Most Reverend Maxwell Anikwenwa, noted that Governor Soludo, has in the past six months, shown great will to transform the state for the better.
They described the Telemedicine initiative as game changer with regards to health coverage and quick access to healthcare services, and assured of their unalloyed support for the progress of the state.
For the APGA candidate for Oyi and Ayamelum Federal Constituency, Lady Maureen Gwacham, and APGA House of Assembly candidate for Oyi constituency in the forthcoming general elections, Sir Innocent Ojike, quality, accessible and affordable healthcare is key to achieving a livable and prosperous Anambra State.
They stated that the Telemedicine initiative, which is meant to give people in the hinterland quicker access to healthcare services, will surely make positive impact in the health sector.
They thanked Governor Soludo for identifying with Awkuzu community, and promised greater commitment for the progress of Oyi Local Government and Anambra State at large.
Other guests at the event, including the Chief Medical Director, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Dr Joe Akabuike, and the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Health Insurance Agency, ASHIA, Dr Simeon Onyemaechi, expressed optimism that Anambra State health sector will grow better under Governor Soludo, and called on the people to always partner the government for sustainable development.
