Governor Chukwuma Soludo has commended an Umuoji indigene, Chief Val Onwumelu, for taking the lead in the Public Community Private Partnership model under his administration.
The Governor gave the commendation while commissioning the road project executed by Chief Onwumelu in his town Umuoji, Idemili North local Government Area.
Governor Soludo in his speech stressed the importance of Public Community Private Partnership model as the way to go in solving many community problems.
He said that what Chief Onwumelu demonstrated was the true Anambra spirit and called on others to emulate him.
Governor Soludo, while emphasizing that the state government resources are limited, promised accountability and to invest the available ones strategically.
The Governor after listening to the people, gave directive that the failed portion of Umuoji-Nkpor road by Inland Doors should be fixed within the next one month.
The benefactor, Chief Onwumelu while thanking Governor Soludo for commissioning the project, , promised to do more for his community.
The Transition Committee Chairman Idemili North Local Government Area, Mr Chuks-Brown Igboanua and President General of Umuoji Town Union , Chief Sly Onyima in their separate remarks, expressed satisfaction with the governor Soludo led administration assuring that Idemili North will remain supportive.
They expressed the hope that Idemili North will enjoy more dividends of democracy under Governor Soludo and highlighted key areas of need .
In attendance were the National President, Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, the APGA Candidate for Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu, among others.
