The Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra West Local Government Area, Mr. Felix Ikechi says the people of the local government will continue to support the governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration.
Mr. Ikechi who made this known while speaking to the ABS in Awka, promised that Ndi Anambra West Local Government will also ensure that both the contractor and the equipment of the construction firm handling the Mmiata Anam-Nzam road project which was recently inaugurated by the Governor are well protected and secured.
The Anambra West mayor appealed to the traditional rulers, Presidents General, religious leaders and other stakeholders in the area to join hands with the governor to ensure that his lofty agenda in the state, especially in the council area is achieved.
He made it clear that the Mmiata Anam-Nzam road when completed, will boost the socioeconomic development of the area and Anambra state in general, and regretted the long years of neglect suffered by the Council Area.
According to him, Anambra West Local Government is still in dire need of other basic social amenities like functional hospitals, pipe born water, electricity among numerous other things and expressed optimism that the current administration in the state will continue to assist the council area.
