The State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has encouraged members of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, to be their brother’s keepers amidst all odds.
Deputy Governor Ibezim gave the encouragement during a meeting with APGA stakeholders and Ward Chairmen from Anambra East and West, as well as Njikoka, Anaocha and Dunukofia Federal Constituencies at the Government House, Awka.
Dr Ibezim while describing peace and unity as tools that enable any society to conquer and make progress beyond imaginations, explained that when peace reigns among members of the party, they will exploit and retain the party in the minds of the people as their first choice.
Deputy Governor Ibezim reminded the party faithful of the need to combine efforts to keep the party’s flag flying, appealing to aggrieved members of the party to forgive their offenders for the sake of their love for the party, and encouraged all APGA flag bearers to identify with their constituents and make peace where necessary.
In their separate remarks, the Member representing Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, Honourable Chinedu Obidigwe who is also the APGA flag bearer for the Federal Constituency in the forthcoming elections, and Honourable Pete Ibida, who is the APGA flag bearer for Njikoka and Dunukofia Federal Constituency, all commended the state government for organizing the meeting which they said was crucial in the party’s preparation for the forthcoming general elections, and encouraged Ndi Anambra to continue to show love to APGA in all elections.
