Stakeholders have commended the efforts of Governor Chukwuma Soludo towards making Anambra a clean, green, healthy, livable and prosperous State.
The stakeholders while reacting on the inauguration of the Anambra State Waste Management Authority Board at ward levels across the twenty-one Local Government Areas of the state, the palm and coconut seedlings recently distributed across the state among others noted that the government is on the right track.
In an interview, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Waste Management Authority, Mr. Mike Ozoemena, noted that Anambra must be clean in order to be livable and prosperous and disclosed that an effective waste management system is key to achieving the revolution.
He said that taking waste management down to community level will help the state to achieve its dream with regards to making Anambra clean, as communities and local governments will be directly involved and advised people to always keep to ASWAMA rules for a clean and healthy Anambra.
For the Awka North Transition Committee Chairman, Mr Emmanuel Ucheze, the coconut and palm planting will not only strengthen the economy of the state but will also engage many households meaningfully.
He further harped on the need for Ndi Anambra to play their part in achieving the new Anambra where law and order, due process, economic stability, adequate security will be the order of the day, through prompt payment of taxes, partnership in development, among others.
The Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Youth Empowerment programme, Dr Nelson Omenugha on his part said that youths are not left out in the affairs of the state as many programs are lined up for proper youth inclusion and called on Anambra youths to be law abiding and proactive at all times.
Dr Omenugha expressed optimism that Anambra under Professor Chukwuma Soludo will thrive but harped on the need for all hands to be on deck for the current administration to succeed.
