Rotary International has expressed willingness to partner anybody, group or corporate organization with a clear policy of improving the living standard of the people.

 

The governor, District 9142, comprising all the states in the south east as well as Cross River and Akwa Ibom, Rotarian Grace Okaro stated this when she called on the chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company, Chief Innocent Chukwuma in company of the chairman of Rotary International Stakeholders, Rotarian Abuchi Nwozor, Assistant Governors of Rotary, past Assistant Governors and some Rotary Presidents at his country home Nnewi.

According to Rotarian Okaro the main focus of Rotary International is to provide an enabling environment for peaceful coexistence among the people in addition to helping those in need.

 

She thanked Chief Chukwuma for using his company in touching lives and sought for his partnership in various Rotary Programmes including peace, conflict prevention and resolution, skills acquisition and human capital development among others.

Contributing, the chairman of Rotary foundation in District 9142, Sir Chika Ekwueme harped on the need for people to always donate to Rotary Foundation to enable it sustain its fight against Polio and other diseases.

 

Responding, Chief Chukwuma, who had earlier conducted District Governor Okaro and her entourage round his factory, congratulated her on her emergence as the first female governor of the district and also Rotarian Nwozor on his appointment as the chairman, Rotary International Stakeholders and promised to support Rotary in view of its humanitarian service.

The entourage also visited Emeka Okwuosa Foundation at Oraifite, Ekwusigo Local Government Area where Rotarian Okaro called for partnership between the foundation and Rotary in Health Care delivery.

 

The General Manager of the foundation, Miss Amanda Obidike and the manager, Media and Communications, Sir Osseloka Offor, conducted the District Governor and her entourage round the facility.

The District Governor had earlier on arrival visited the traditional Ruler of Nnewi Igwe Kenneth Orizu the third, to seek his royal blessings.
