The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Waste Management Authority, ASWAMA, Mr Mike Ozoemena has advised Ndi Anaocha to take keeping their environment clean as a very serious business.
Mr Ozoemena gave the advice in Anaocha Local Government headquarters, Neni on the occasion of inauguration of the Anaocha Local Government Area ward level ASWAMA board.
according to the ASWAMA boss, Mr Mike Ozoemena, making Anambra the cleanest state in Nigeria is part of the key deliverables in achieving the livable, prosperous, and smart mega city proposed by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
Speaking at the event , the Transition Committee Chairman, Mr Gerald Ozoh said that the Governor Soludo’s agenda is for a better Anambra and charged the board with commitment.
He noted that Anaocha Local Government Area will leave no stone unturned to become the cleanest local government area in Anambra state going forward.
While inaugurating the ward level ASWAMA board comprising the community leaders, youths, women, enforcement agencies among others, Mr Ozoh tasked them to be diligent in the discharge of their duty.
The Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Edith Enuka, the ASATU youths among other dignitaries attended the event.
To climax the event, the Transition Committee Chairman Mr Gerald Ozoh accompanied by the dignitaries including Mr Mike Ozoemena, did a symbolic planting of coconut seedlings and distributed over three thousand coconut seedlings to the respective wards in Anaocha local government area to key into the coconut economy of the new Anambra led by Professor Soludo.
