The Standards Organisation of Nigeria, SON, Anambra state office, has reiterated its readiness to withdraw the Mandatory Conformity Assessment Programme (MANCAP) certificate of any manufacturer over sub-standard products in the State.

 

 

The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of SON, Mallam Farouk Sallim represented by the Anambra State Coordinator of the organization, Engineer Onipede Adeoye, gave the warning while presenting MANCAP certificates to over thirteen companies in Awka

 

 

According to Mallam Sallim, SON is intensifying the fight against local manufacturers  in the habit of cutting corners on the quality of their products, warning manufacturing companies with MANCAP certificates not to compromise the standard of their products, but rather improve on their qualities

 

 

Presenting the certificate to the beneficiaries, the SON boss noted that the MANCAP certificates are being presented to the beneficiaries to show to the world that their products met the required standards

 

 

Speaking on behalf of other beneficiaries, the Executive Director of Transtell Ventures Nigeria Limited, Mr. Ikechukwu Igbozuluike assured SON and consumers of standard and quality products and appreciated SON for considering their companies worthy of the certificate, adding that all guidelines would be adhered to.,
