The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Soludo says he is flagging off the construction of roads to enhance development and to alleviate the sufferings of Ndi Anambra and motorists in the state.
The governor who spoke through the Commissioner for Transport, Barrister Patricia Igwebuike, stated this , while flagging off the ember months safety campaign of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Awka.
Governor Soludo said he had declared a state of emergency on Anambra roads, adding that the bulk of the budget of the state will be used for the construction of roads.
Reiterating that Anambra will soon become a massive construction site, the governor said that as a government that values the lives of the people of the state, the road construction will accelerate the developmental agenda of a prosperous homeland.
