Christians have been charged not to allow the Socio-economic situation of today rob them of their faith in God.
The Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese Anglican Communion Right Reverend Prosper Amah gave the charge in his sermon during a pastoral visit to Saint Luke’s Anglican Church Okpoko, Ogbaru Local Government Area.
Right Reverend Amah who maintained that faith is a necessity in the life of every Christian described faith as a linking bridge between God and Man as according to him, it connects man to his miracle adding that survival of man to any situation depends on the level of his Faith.
The Bishop, while enumerating the benefits of faith in ones Christian race, called for hardwork and consistent holy life among Christians for the growth of their faith.
He urged the newly confirmed and admitted candidates to embrace God and stand firm in their faith for them to be able to overcome challenges that may come their way.
The Vicar in charge of Saint Luke’s Anglican Church Okpoko, Venerable Kenpaul Emoka, appreciated the Bishop for his visit despite being displaced by flood and urged the newly confirmed and admitted candidates to look unto Christ the author and finisher of life.
In separate interviews, the newly confirmed candidates Miss Miracle Felix and Master Nzube Onyeka, expressed joy and gratitude to God for the privilege given to them by the church and the Bishop and promised to live a holy life.
The Women newly admitted into the Mother’s Union, Mrs Ebele Okananwa and Mrs Obianuju Ogugua said they are now complete for being part of the mother’s union of the Anglican Communion and promised to live a trustworthy Life even as they promised to raise Godly children.
The pastoral visit which attracted parishioners from Okpoko Archdeaconry featured administration of the sacrament of confirmation to over fifty candidates, admission of thirteen women into mother’s union, twelve girls into Girl’s Guild, five boys into Anglican Boy’s Fellowship and four Men into Christian Men’s Fellowship of the Ogbaru Diocese.
