The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA), Mr Ossy Onuko says all the structures erected in the area mapped out by the Anambra state government for the building of the new Government House must be pulled down.
Mr Onuko made this known when he led his team against defiant developers who are still erecting buildings, after warning them to desist forthwith.
He regretted that some developers have continued to erect structures in the areas mapped out for the Government House, even when such areas were designated for the lodge and notice given to them months ago.
He further made it clear that Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration will never condone any form of indiscipline or lack of respect for the rule of law and warned land grabbers and developers to always comply with the Awka Capital City master plan or come to the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority’s office, for inquiries and guides, in terms of building and plans.
The ACTDA boss said that every building in the new Government House must conform with the Governor’s directive of giving Ndi Anambra value for their money.
Chief Onuko promised that under his watch, Awka Capital Territory will regain its place as the most thriving city in Nigeria, with the support of Governor Soludo.
