The President of the Women’s Ministry in both the Province of the Niger and Awka Diocese, Mrs Martha Ibezim has charged members of the Anglican Girls Guild to jettison those behavior capable of bringing their various families and church to ridicule.

 

Mrs Ibezim who gave the advice in her message to members of the Girls guild at Saint Peter’s parish Amawbia in Awka South Local Government Area during the 2022 Girls Guild Sunday in Awka Diocese reminded the girls of the need to be role model as future Mothers.

 

The wife of the Archbishop of the Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese charged the Vice Presidents of the Women’s Ministry in Awka Diocese to mobilize and encourage more girls to be enrolled into the Girls guild as part of efforts aimed at bringing them closer to their Creator.

 

She disclosed that the Anglican Diocese of Awka has now a Millennium College of Nursing sciences in Awka as well as Renaissance Modern Polytechnic Mbaukwu in an effort to help the youths who are future leaders to acquire sound education at affordable cost.

 

Mrs Ibezim reminded parents of the need to always invest in the education of their children especially the girl child in order to secure a bright future for them.

 

Speaking on the theme of the event, ‘‘Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might’’, Mrs Ibezim whose message was delivered by the Archdeacon of Amawbia Archdeaconry and Vicar of Saint Peters parish Amawbia Venerable Vincent Nkemdilim, urged the faithful to anchor their faith and trust in God in order to defeat the devil and his cohort.

 

She regretted the series of challenges the Nigerian-Nation is passing through especially insecurity, Kidnappings, banditry, armed robbery and indiscriminate killing of innocent citizens and called for concerted prayers to seek God’s intervention to end the ugly trend.

 

Mrs Ibezim regretted the gradual going back to idolatry and high rate of Internet fraud among the youths and called on parents to be alive to their responsibilities in order to check the negative behavior among the youths.

 

She regretted that the undue quest for Power and protection has led many astray and away from the faith in Christ Jesus.

 

She thanked the faithful for their prayers during the sixtieth birthday of the Archbishop Ecclesiastical province of the Niger and Anglican Bishop of Awka Diocese Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim praying God to grant them their heart desires.

 

 

 

The leader of Anglican Girls Guild at Saint Peter’s parish Amawbia Miss Ogechukwu Okeke who thanked the President of Women’s Ministry in both Niger province and Awka Diocese Mrs Martha Ibezim for her support and encouragement, called on parents to always allow their children to join various church organizations in order to be closer to God.

 

The service featured a debate on the high rate of domestic violence in the society, Special prayer for those in leadership positions and Nigeria in distress.
