Governor Chukwuma Soludo has inaugurated re-construction work on the ten point nine-five-kilometer Igboukwu-Ikenga road in Aguata Local Government Area.
The road will be completed within twelve months.
Governor Soludo during the ceremony disclosed that road infrastructure is the major problem facing Ndi Anambra, followed by flooding, adding that his government identifies with people who seem to be forgotten, in line with All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA mantra of leave no one behind.
While empathizing with the members of the community over the hardship they are experiencing as a result of bad roads, the Governor pointed out that infrastructural project is simultaneously ongoing in every Local Government Area of the State.
He stated that road infrastructure is key to building a livable and prosperous homeland.
Governor Soludo asked the contractor to deliver according to specification and on schedule.
Government House Correspondent, Ejike Abana reports that the Commissioner for Works, Mr Ifeanyi Okoma, among others were present at the ceremony.
