Speakers at a one-day seminar organised by Ifeomamebe in collaboration with Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, have stressed the need for youths to channel their minds to positive living.

The seminar tagged “Chat with Ifeomamebe” was the brainchild of the host of ABS radio programme, “Solving Life Issues with Ifeomamebe”, Mr Okechukwu Orjiako, and is targeted at exposing participants on how to engage themselves meaningfully with skills and other things that will help them earn a living.

The convener, Mr Orjiakor regretted that many young people are wasting their times without knowing their talents and potential, stating that some may get close to what they ought to know to be successful in life, but cannot go further because they do not have the right mentorship to achieve results.

He said that with such event, young people will be directed properly, taught new skills and be acquainted with how best to move on with a career that will get huge demands and yield income.

In a presentation on information communication technology, a resource person, Mr Anthony Nwabunwanne told the participants that they can discover their talents while using the internet, emphasizing that there are different ways people can earn legitimate income digitally.

On his part, another resource person, Mr Christian Nwafor, who dwelt on “how to be a good entrepreneur”, maintained that acquiring needed skill is the best thing one can do for him or herself to become independent, self-reliant and even an employer of labour.

On marriage, a health expert, Linda Anagor advised the young people against getting married to anyone without checking to know the complete health status of their person.

Some of the participants, Mr Emmanuel Ezenaguoha and Chinwendu Ezenagu expressed gladness for having attended such seminar, saying that they are enriched with all they were taught and promised that they will put them to practice.
