All Saints’ Day which is also known as All Hallows’ Day, is a Christian solemnity, or dignified remembrance, that celebrates the honor of all church saints, whether known or unknown.

All Saints Day, observed on November one every year by Christians, relates to giving God earnest gratitude for the lives and deaths of his saints.

While traditions across the globe vary for All Saints Day, the common theme is a celebration with family and remembrance of those, who have passed on, attending a mass is the most common All Saints Day tradition within the Catholic Church during Holy Mass where the Beatitudes are read, and prayers said for the Saints.

Speaking on the significance of the day, the Chaplin, Holy Family Chaplaincy, Umucheke, Umunze, Reverend Father James Nnoruga, charged Christians to live out the commandments of God as they celebrate All Saints Day to become a saint after life on earth.

Reverend Father Nnoruga, who also asked Christians to show in their lives the mystery of Christ that is celebrated every day in the Holy Mass, urged them to always carry out the Beatitudes of Christ as spelt out in today’s gospel according to Saint Mathew.

According to Reverend Father Nnoruga, the saints, who are being celebrated today, enjoins Christians to be obedient to civil and religious authorities by paying their taxes and exercising the civic responsibilities as an when due.

For the prophet in charge, God’s Anointing Power Healing Ministry, Ekwulobia,Prophet Okwuchukwu Ezekoye, Christians should strive to be like the saints they are celebrating today by living a Christ like life devoid of sins.

Prophet Ezekoye stressed the need for love among every creature warning evil perpetrators to desist forthwith or face the wrath of God.
