Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has stressed that the Soludo administration is desirous of making a difference in the lives of youths.
Speaking at Season Two of Anambra talent show held in Awka, Dr Ibezim charged youths to look out for those who want to serve the people better.
He explained that government attention to creative industry is a way of engaging and empowering youths for a better future, urging them to identify with government policies and programmes designed for them.
The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District at the red chambers, Mrs Uche Ekwunife, who featured as a discussant at the event, urged youths to continuously identify with leaders with passion to help develop their hidden talents, describing the talent show as a genuine effort to expose youths to better opportunities.
Also speaking, the PDP House of Representatives candidate for Awka North and South federal constituency, Chief Emeka Igwe, said such event will continue to showcase talents of youths, whom he advised to get involved in politics to better their future.
In his remark, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Empowerment, Leisure and Tourism, Bob-manuel Udokwu, explained that the Season Two of the talent show was designed to mentor young ones in various aspects of life and create role models for them.
He said the Soludo administration is determined to develop the creative industry, which is why he is building a film village at Agulu lake, noting that Anambra has a lot of successful people in entertainment industry.
The season two of the talent show, which featured lecture and mentorship series, was organised by the Office of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Empowerment, Leisure and Tourism Bob-manuel Udokwu and Bring It On Africa, in conjunction with Anambra State Ministry of Education.
Successful people from auditions in acting, singing, dancing and technovation were also unveiled at the event, and ready for the next stage starting from 27th November to 18th December, 2022.
