A coalition group of indigenes of Neni- Nnokwa- Nnobi, has commended the massive road infrastructure being embarked upon across the state by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.

Rising from an emergency meeting of the nonpolitical sociocultural group, at Neni in Anaocha local government area, the group called attention to the deteriorating nature of the Agulu- Nnobi road, which traverses their communities.

The spokesman of the group, Chief Paul Ezisi appealed to Governor Soludo to save the people of the area the agony of plying failed portions of the road by giving them a sense of belonging.

According to the spokesman, Governor Soludo should consider the landmark achievements of the late Dr Anthony Enukeme of Neni in community road construction, and award the Agulu- Neni- Nnokwa- Nnobi road stretch for reconstruction.

The group regretted that the poor condition of the road has become advantageous to criminals who snatch vehicles and dispossess commuters of their belongings, and escape through Mkpuota Oraukwu axis.

Chief Ezisi said worst hit portions include the Bubbendoff axis, Adazi Nnukwu, Okacha Junction Neni, Oraukwu, Adazi Ani, Nnokwa and Nnobi ends, regretting that the vicinity of the late Senator Nathaniel Anah’s country home is impassable.

He said commuters now embark on Israelites’ journey, through village roads inside Neni, and Adazi Ani, to connect Nnokwa and Nnobi, before reaching Nnewi.
