The chaplain, Divine Mercy Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, Reverend Father Justin Ezechukwu, has reminded Christians that their citizenship is in heaven where they will be like Christ.

Reverend Father Ezechukwu, who stated this while delivering a homily during Holy Mass, maintained that the life Christians live today, is in preparation of where they will spend life eternity either in Heaven or Hail.

He reminded the parishioners of the judgement that awaits them after death and advised them to desist from quest for earthly desires but rather live in obedience and humility to the will of God at all times.

At Saint Micheals and All Angels Ifite Awka, the vicar, Revered Canon Okechukwu Ekwune, encouraged Christians to involve God in all they do and utilize His gift in them properly.

Reverend Canon Ekwune while warning that damnation awaits those, who cherish life aside Christ, frowned on the influx of youths into idol worshipping and revival of paganism among Christians.

For Pastor Okey Akpangbo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of Triumph Amansea, Christians should eschew sins and distance selves from people, who draw them to satanic principles.

Pastor Akpangbo noted that purity and uprightness are required of very Christians and called for total repentance in a season like this.
