Governor Chukwuma Soludo has approved the renaming of the ministry of Trade, Commerce and Industry to Ministry of Industry.
The commissioner for Trade, Commerce and Industry, Dr. Obinna Ngonadi will henceforth be addressed as the Commissioner for Industry.
The Trade and Commerce aspect of the Ministry will be directly domiciled under the Governor’s direct supervision, meaning that all activities relating to trade and commerce will be duly channeled to the Governor’s office with immediate effect.
A release signed by the Secretary to the state government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu said that this recent decision is to enable the ministry of Industry concentrate on the industrialization agenda of Governor Soludo.
It also noted that the reorganization is with immediate effect.
