Residents of Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area have commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for stepping up transformational measures in changing the face of the Community.

 

Speaking when he led some stakeholders on inspection of the on-going reconstruction of access roads within the community, a community leader, Honourable Linus Ezenwamma expressed satisfaction with Governor Soludo’s desire to regenerate the community.

 

Describing the gesture as commendable, Honourable Ezenwamma who is the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA hopeful for Ogbaru Constituency One in the State House of Assembly for 2023 general elections recalled that Okpoko has never had it so good before now and assured of their loyalty and total support to the governor, while thanking him for alleviating the plight of the masses.

 

According to him, the award of contract for the reconstruction of Edeh, School Road, Awalite Street, Umuobom Street, Anumudu-Ngbuka Amazu-Owerri Road among others will add value and fast track economic activities in the area noting that the contractor has expedited action to deliver on schedule.

 

He called on the citizenry to reciprocate the gesture by voting for the candidates of the All Progressives Grand Alliance in the forthcoming general elections.

 

The President-General of Okpoko Community, Chief Francis Enemuo appreciated the Governor for keeping faith with his campaign promises noting that posterity will speak on such positive development.

 

In their separate remarks, Honourable Chimezie Osigwe and Chukwudi Ehiobu identified such magnanimity as a practical definition of good governance and benefits of democracy dividends.

 

The Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, in Okpoko One Mr Ben Ikeh who scored the present administration in the State high expressed optimism that APGA leadership will continue to prioritize the needs and welfare of Ndi Anambra, adding that the on- going road projects in the area will assist in addressing the challenges facing the public and decongest the gridlock at the Onitsha Owerri Road.

 

The Chairman of the Old Aguata Union, Mr Okechukwu Ezeokwei and a youth leader, Mr Ikenna Ezekwueme extoled the Governor for actualizing his dreams for Okpoko in the first phase of his working manual and assured of their unalloyed support to his administration.
