The Chief Medical Director of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Awka, Dr Joseph Akabuike says the hospital will work out a plan with the management of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, to hold routine medical checkup for the staff of the organization to cement the cordial relationship between them.

 

Dr. Akabuike made this intention known when he led the management team of the hospital on a courtesy visit to the Managing Director of ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu in his office at ABS Corporate Headquarter, Awka.

According to the COOUTH CMD, the essence of the visit was to cement the cordial relationship and existing collaboration of the two establishments in working together as a team to make Anambra state a better place.

 

He said the plan when concluded will ensure that the staff of ABS will access better health service, increase their productivity to deliver on their responsibility to remain Anambra’s major information engine room as well as serve as platform to better educate the Anambra populace on best health practices such as always eating balanced diet, living active lifestyles, engaging in exercises, and need to avoid fatty foods.

Dr. Akabuike also congratulated Sir Chido on his appointment as MD of ABS.

 

Responding, Sir Chido thanked the COOUTH Management for the visit and promised that ABS will continue to live up to its responsibility of informing, educating and entertaining residents of the State and beyond especially as it concerns good health practices.

Sir Chido commended the CMD and his workers at COOUTH, for the selfless job they are doing for the society, noting visible improvements in the discharge of their duties.

 

The CMD COOUTH presented health materials including hand sanitizers to the ABS boss, Sir Chido.
