In line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s agenda of making Awka Capital Territory a liveable, secure and prosperous mega city, the Awka Capital Territory Development Authority,ACTDA, has taken its “Operation Zero Potholes” initiative to Ziks Avenue and Court roads, both in Awka.

The exercise, which commenced about a week ago, had seen officials of the agency patch failed portions of Arroma junction, Ifite Awka, Enugu-Onitsha express roads, among others, which they also asphalted and tarred.

Speaking to the ABS during the exercise at Ziks Avenue, Awka, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of ACTDA, Mr. Ossy Onuko, said that what they are doing is in line with Governor Soludo’s administration policy for the twenty-three communities and the six local governments that make up the Awka Capital Territory.

He revealed that ACTDA is partnering with some private companies to deliver the project, which he said has no cost to the state government.

The ACTDA boss maintained that the companies partnering with ACTDA were encouraged by the Soludo administration’s blueprint, which he said has started turning the economic fortunes of Anambra State aright, and called on other private sectors to join hands with the current administration.

Officials of ACTDA equally repaired the dilapidated drainage system and road opposite Court of Appeals, Awka.

some people who spoke to the ABS expressed delight at what the agency is doing, and commended Governor Soludo for appointing the right person who understands the needs of the people to head the Agency.
