Governor Chukwuma Soludo has commissioned CIEN Luxury Apartments and Hotel Awka, a project attracted through the Aku Luo Uno Initiative.
The CIEN Luxury Apartment and Hotel located close to International Convention Centre Awka, has standard, deluxe, royal and presidential suites and standard, executive and super executive apartments, among others, with swimming pool, gym, restaurant, bars, event centers and an overview space for picnic, with twenty-four-hour CCTV security camera within and outside the facility.
Performing the official opening of the facility, Governor Soludo said there was need for investors to catch-in on the enabling environment being created by his administration to invest in Anambra State, assuring that the state is safe and secure, and also an investment destination.
The Governor, who spoke through his Deputy, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, affirmed that the hotel is properly sited, given its vantage position as tourist centre close to the International Convention Centre, which he said will create direct and indirect jobs for youths and contribute to Internally Generated Revenue of the state.
For the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Uche Okafor, Governor Soludo administration has made it practically possible for businesses to thrive; as more industries are springing up under his regime, describing the facility as an asset to the state.
Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, while restating Governor Soludo’s vision in transforming the state to a modern mega city, thanked the management of the company for investing in the state, which he said clearly shows their commitment to partnering the state in building a livable state for both the poor and the rich.
Contributing, the Vice Chancellor, Peters University, Reverend Father Professor Emmanuel Umezinwa, said the investment is a challenge to government in terms of security, power supply, access road and tax, and asked government to live up to its responsibility in order to help investors get benefits for their investments.
Responding the founder, CIEN Luxury Apartments and Hotel Awka, who is also the traditional ruler Of Amansea, Igwe Chukwuma Anigbogu, while praying for peace and unity in the state and beyond, pointed out that the investment is part of his contribution to supporting tourism in order to create both direct and indirect job in the state, and asked the political class, university communities, business executives and travelers to enjoy the peace and tranquility the hotel provides.
