Igboukwu-Ikenga-Isuiofia-Ekwulobia road in Aguata Local Government Area, will be motorable before Christmas this year.
The Site Manager AG Vision construction company, Engineer Salom Sawal announced this at the site while speaking with ABS Works correspondent Ngozi Obileri who monitored pace of work on the road.
According to Engineer Sawal, they will complete earth work and priming on the road which is ten-point-nine-five kilometres from Igboukwu axis to Ekwulobia to enable people of the area enjoy the yuletide without hitches.
He said they cannot fail Governor Soludo whose desire is to give Ndi Anambra the best in road network as he promised during his campaign.
Speaking, a resident of Ikenga, Mrs Ukamaka Ezeokeke said that the condition of the road is a thing of concern to them especially during rainy seasons, adding that they would have another lease of life if the road is constructed.
In their separate speeches, some residents of Isuofia Messrs Emmanuel Mmadumere, Anthony Oraekwe and Anthonia Nwokoye-Amuma noted that assess road brings about development and said they are looking forward to having shops and malls spring up in the area after the completion.
They said that the development would create jobs for youths of the area and it would boost the economy of the area.
Meanwhile, men of the AG Vision have arrived Igboukwu axis of the road bringing their equipment bit by bit.
