Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has vowed to use the remaining days of his life for service to God and humanity.
Deputy Governor Ibezim made the vow during an event to mark his 2022 birthday in Awka.
Dr Ibezim, who acknowledged God as the giver of life and every good thing, described the gift of life an opportunity to positively impact lives and serve God, promising that he will not give up in humanitarian service.
He assured to continue to play his supportive roles to the Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration for all round positive transformation of the state.
Earlier in a sermon, the Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, the Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim, said that people should learn to positively live the life God has given them, bearing in mind that God expects life of holiness and reverence from them, and prayed God to keep and prosper the deputy governor the more.
In separate interviews, the state Commissioner for Petroleum and Mineral Resources, Barrister Tony Ifeanya, that of Home Land Affair, Mr. Chikodi Anarah, and their Culture and Entertainment counterpart, Mr. Don Onyenji, thanked God for adding another year to the deputy governor, whom they described as man of the people.
For the Managing Director of the ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, and the Deputy Chief of Staff to the governor, office of the Deputy Governor, Sir Ugochukwu Obiefuna, Dr Ibezim has put smiles on the faces of the people especially the downtrodden, and expressed hope that he will continue the good works for humanity, even as they wished him more life in good health
The event featured cutting of birthday cake, and special prayers for the deputy governor, Dr Ibezim.
