Anambra State under the watch of Governor Chukwuma Soludo has been turned into a marketing peach.
The state Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, made the declaration in his keynote address at the 2022 Symposium of the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Anambra State Council held in Awka.
He stressed that Anambra State is well-positioned to serve as a veritable centre of marketing attraction in Nigeria.
In his address title “The Imperative of Traditional Media in Marketing State Policies: Anambra State as a Case Study”, Sir Paul stressed that the Soludo administration is committed to disruptive changes that engage the media positively, adding that the media cannot let up in keeping pace with the march of change.
He pointed out that Governor Soludo has taken bold steps towards rebirth and regeneration of Anambra urban areas, stressing that the present administration believes that urban renewal and regeneration are keys to achieving a livable, prosperous, and smart megacity, which are the major agenda of the Soludo administration.
The Information Commissioner pointed out that a section of the media that vainly struggled to put Anambra State in bad light by pitching Governor Soludo against a presidential candidate that comes from the state is bad marketing, and presents Ndi Anambra as uncivilized people who are intolerant of one another’s views.
Commissioner Nwosu regretted that there have been misrepresentations in some sections of the media over government’s tax policy intended to help in growing the state economy in the new dispensation, and maintained that in marketing the policies of Anambra State there is no room for cutting corners.
