As the 2023 General Elections draw closer, youths have been advised to shun electoral violence and tow the part of peace, unity and champion things that will bring development to Nigeria.

 

The National chairman, Youth Wing of Christian Association of Nigeria, YOWICAN, Mr Belusochukwu Enwerem, gave the advice during Leadership Retreat for Anambra State Chapter of the organization in Awka.

 

 

Correspondent Queen Anigbogu reports that Ambassador Enwerem, who said that the core mandate of YOWICAN is preaching peace, declared that as the elections draw near, youths are saying no to violence, vote buyingand want the best for the country.

 

He said the organization has plethora of activities lined up for Nigerian Youths and charged them to endeavour to get their Permanent Voters Card, PVCs and vote according to their conscience.

 

In his comments, the Anambra State Chairman of YOWICAN, Honourable Nwabueze Nwokoye, disclosed that the leadership retreat with 2023 election in view was aimed at encouraging and mobilizing the youths to be part of the elections.

 

For the chairman, Nigeria Youths Council of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter, Mr. Emeka Obi, youths should be prepared to occupy leadership positions in Nigeria and commended YOWICAN for its supportive role in Anambra State.

 

Highlights of the retreat were lectures, interactive session, prayers among others.
