Tears and emotions flowed as the Late Mrs. Louisa Eze, the mother of Anambra Broadcasting Service Make-up Artist, Miss Nnena Eze, was buried at her husband’s compound in Amaokwe Uboji Ngwo, Udi Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The deceased, nee Ezeede, died suddenly at the age of fifty-three, and survived by husband, children, nephews, nieces and in-laws.

Some family members and neighbours could not hold their emotions as they cried and wailed uncontrollably after the deceased body arrived home where she laid in state.

Her body was afterwards taken to Saint Joseph’s Parish, Uboji Ngwo-Uno, where a requiem mass was held in her honour.

Speaking at the funeral mass, the officiating priest, Reverend Father Alphonsus Ozoezie, said life is full of irregularities and that her death should be a reminder to every living soul that one day, man will cease to exist and would travel to the great beyond to face final judgement.

He consoled the bereaved family and asked Christians to be prepared at all time for the inevitable call of death.

After the mass, the deceased body was lowered into the grave at her home after the committal and blessing of the grave.

This was followed by the sentences, affirmation of faith and interment and was succeeded by benediction and filling of the grave.

Commiserating with the family, the President, Catholic Women Organization, Saint Joseph’s Parish Ngwo-Uno, Mrs. Eugenia Odoh, attested that the deceased dedicated herself to the service of God, a reason she said attracted the women in their numbers to the funeral.

The deceased in-law, Sister Lucy Onoh and brother, Onyemaechi Eze, who extolled her qualities and described her as woman of many substances, prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest.

Children of the deceased, Miss Nnena and Mr. Everistus Eze, described their mother’s death as shocking and a big blow, adding that though she lived a good life, her vacuum is being felt by every member of the family, praying God to accept her soul in his bosom.
