Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, (OCHA) Brigade, has continued its enforcement of state government directive on payment of monthly levies by tricycle and commercial bus operators in Anambra State.

At UNIZIK junction Awka and development Amawbia, the joint enforcement team impound tricycles and shuttle buses for non-payment of monthly levies to the state government.

The Superintendent of OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere, expressed dismay over the attitude of motorists who only want to be forced before they comply with directives of the state.

While reiterating the resolve of the agency to stamp out illegal collection of revenues in the state, Comrade Anere emphasized that although some paid willingly, many are yet to comply, therefore making the enforcement inevitable and reminded them that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has before now given them months waiver, appealing to them to either pay the weekly agreed fees or use the option of monthly payment.

He revealed that the Anambra State Internal Generated Revenue has stationed its staff in all the parks and localities closer to the people, and warned them not to cut corners but believe in the process for a better society.

In various locations, the motorists asked questions about the enrollment and specific amount for tricycles and shuttle buses, while appealing to Anambra State Internal Generated Revenue to constantly ensure that staff of the agency is on ground to receive money from them.
