Anambra State Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has praised the Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, for being an active partner in maintaining peace and unity in the state.
Dr Ibezim gave the commendation at end of the year annual meeting and security summit of ASATU, during which the association presented award of recognition to eminent personalities in the state.
He explained that ASATU and Ndi Anambra made the right choice in choosing Governor Chukwuma Soludo to transform Anambra into a prosperous and livable homeland, and thanked them for joining hands with the present administration to fulfill its solution agenda.
In his remark, the National President of ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpudo, commended the Soludo administration for ongoing projects in the state, and for the recruitment of five thousand teachers.
Correspondent, Blessing Dennis reports that among the awardees were the state Commissioner for Power and Minerals Resources, Engr Julius Chukwuemeka, Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, former President General of Enugu-ukwu community, Chief Bonny Ozo-Nkwuaku, Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Mrs Joy Odinye of Channels Television, among others.
