The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu, has commissioned a health center renovated by the Councilor representing Umunze ward one and Supervisory Councilor for Health in the area, Honourable Pastor Maxwell Chinedu-Onyeachor, for the people of Ugwuaro village Umunze.
In his speech at the event, Honourable Chinedu-Onyeachor thanked the Chairman for accepting to commission the health facility, and for finding him worthy to serve as the Supervisory Councilor for Health, which he said prompted him to look towards the health centre.
He explained how he contacted the stakeholders of Ugwuaro village, Umunze, whom he explained raised fund to ensure that the health centre has a new look.
The Councilor used the opportunity to plead with the Transition Committee Chairman, Prince Uchendu, to embark on a palliative work on the road leading to the health centre, which he said is in a very bad condition.
Commissioning the health facility, Prince Uchendu appreciated Honourable Chinedu-Onyeachor for being a visionary leader with wisdom, and advised other Councilors to emulate him, stating that his benevolent attitude of renovating the health centre is in line with Mr. Governor’s call for every hand to be on deck in making Anambra a livable homeland.
He expressed gratitude over contributions of Ugwuaro village stakeholders, especially Chief Bigger Ibekwe, who took it upon themselves to ensure that the health centre gets a facelift.
In a vote of thanks, a stakeholder in the community, Pastor Festus Ibekwe, appreciated Prince Uchendu for his humility and honesty in service, and prayed that his reign in the local government will be filled with blessings.
Staff reporter, Njideka Okoye, reports that those present at the event were the Deputy Chairman of Orumba SouthLocal Government Area, Honourable Tochukwu Obi, other stakeholders, including Mr. Hyginus Umeaka and Prince Wilson Mbachu.
