Governor Chukwuma Soludo has called on churches and its leaders to be part of building a new Anambra State through social and value re-orientation.

 

The governor made the call at the annual thanksgiving of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter.

The event, which also witnessed the inauguration of re-elected officers, was held at Life and Faith Church, Housing Estate Onitsha.

 

Governor Soludo while addressing the congregation noted that everyone including the church has a role to play in the Anambra State agenda.

He stressed the need for church leaders and opinion molders to join the campaign of teaching the people the basic civic responsibilities and promised that his administration will uphold prudence and be accountable to the people of Anambra State.

 

Governor Soludo assured to re-establish the social contract between the government and the people which involves citizens paying their fair share of taxes while government provides the basic social amenities using the taxes in an accountable manner.

While promising of effective partnership with the church, the governor emphasized the need for Christians to bond together and fight for a better society.

 

The chairman, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, Anambra State Chapter, Bishop Moses Ezedebego, while thanking Governor Soludo for the level playing ground, promised their support to enable him achieve his goal for the state.
