Anambra Broadcasting Service, has organized its 2022 edition of the Festival of Christmas carols and nine lessons in grand style.

 

The event which attracted dignitaries and government officials, featured series of Bible readings, award presentations music performances, renditions by various choir within the State, including the ABS Choir.

The Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu commended the ABS for organizing such an event which reminded Christians of the birth of their saviour and king, asking Ndi Anambra to extend hands of charity to the downtrodden in the spirit of the season.

 

Sir Paul called on residents of the state to support the Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration for the actualization of its lofty visions for the State.

Earlier, the Chairman on the occasion, Mr Humphrey Ngonadi said that contribution of ABS in societal development cannot be overemphasized, hence the need for people of goodwill to support the station with their resources.

 

In a remark, the Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Sir Chido Obidiegwu thanked guests and staff of the station for their various contributions to the success of the event, assuring that ABS will continue to be the best in information dissemination, and called on the public to join hands with the establishment to transform the station more.

On his part, the National President of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, ASATU, Barrister Titus Akpaudo while commending ABS for representing Anambra well in the Media industry, appreciated the government of Professor Chukwuma Soludo for declaring a state of emergency on Anambra roads and employing the recent five thousand teachers as part of efforts towards improving the education system of the state, and encouraged him to continue the good work he has started in the state.

 

The awardees who were honoured at the event including the Senior Pastor, Omega Grace Ministry International, Nkpor, Apostle Paul Igwe, President General of Isulo Development Union, Chief Sam Onwuagbaka, and a business executive, Chief Chinedu Ezeogidi thanked ABS for recognizing their efforts in development, describing the award as a call for more service to God and humanity.
