Governor Chukwuma Soludo has received the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar who paid him a courtesy visit at the Governor’s lodge Amawbia.

 

Receiving Atiku Abubakar and his entourage, Governor Soludo noted that politics should not be played with sentiment and called on politicians to always work for the peace and progress of the nation.

 

Emphasizing that Politics is about development, Governor Soludo harped on the need for every part of the country to have sense of belonging in the scheme of things.

 

Governor Soludo canvassed for a level playing ground for all political parties and their candidates.

 

In his speech Alhaji Atiku Abubakar said that the development of Nigeria goes beyond partisan politics.

 

He thanked Governor Soludo for his warm reception adding that their relationship was built on patriotism.

 

The Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, Chief of staff to the Governor Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Sir Norbert Obi, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Professor Sylvia Ifemeje, among others were present at the event.

Among the entourage were the PDP vice presidential candidate and the Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, Senator Dino Melaye, Senator Ben Ndi Obi, Mrs Josephine Anenih, the Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly Senator Uche Ekwunife, Chief Osita Chidoka, among others.
