In the spirit of Christmas, Building Material International Market, Ogidi in Idemili North Local Government Area has disbursed the sum of eight million naira to sixteen traders in the Market who are struggling in their various businesses.

It also distributed cash, food and materials worth over five million naira to the indigent people and women of the Market.

The disbursement and distribution exercise took place at the Market premises during its annual end of year prayer.

Among the Beneficiaries of the Food items were children from orphanage homes, persons living with disability, widows and street beggars.

Addressing members of the market and beneficiaries, the President-General of the market, Chief Jude Nwankwo said the exercise is their little way of giving back to the society especially the less privileged.

Chief Nwankwo advised beneficiaries of the eight million naira to make good use of the money pointing out that the five hundred thousand naira allocated to each person, if properly used will help them bounce back in their businesses.

He appreciated God for the peace and progress enjoyed in the market, members of his executive for their team work and all who contributed to putting smile on the faces of the beneficiaries.

Earlier in a sermon, a guest preacher from Immaculate Heart Parish Fegge, Brother Bernard Eze urged the people to be mindful of the life they live on earth as judgement awaits everyone.
