Omor Traditional Ruler, Chidiume Ends 2022 Ofala Festival With Thanksgiving Mass

It was a moment of thanksgiving and celebration of God’s faithfulness at Christ the King Parish Omor, Ayamelum Local Government Area, as the traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Oranu Chidiume, appreciated God in praises for a successful ofala festival.

 

The traditional ruler led his wife, cabinet members, indigenes, friends and well-wishers to express gratitude to God who has been their protector and beacon of hope since the beginning of the 2022 Ofala festival.

 

The ofala festival, which started on Thursday, fifteenth December, 2022 with media interaction tagged: “Omor in Focus, was concluded on Sunday with the thanksgiving Holy Mass.

 

In his speech, Igwe Chidiume, who thankd the church and entire people of Omor Community for their support during the festival described all the activities as awesome and reminded them that the church remains the last hope of the common man.

 

The monarch reiterated that his mandate remains to ensure the total welfare of every citizen of Omor, irrespective of denomination, urging his people to keep working for the development of the town.

 

Earlier in his homily on the coming of Jesus in mystery,” Reverend Father Bernardine Muoka from Pope John Paul II Major Seminary, Okpuno, Awka, reminded the congregation of the second coming of Jesus Christ and the need to live within the tenets of Christianity.

 

The Parish Priest of Christ the King Parish Omor, Reverend Father Patrick Egwuatu, congratulated the Igwe and charged his cabinets to keep supporting him for more developmental strides.

 

The Holy Mass was capped with a special rendition by the choir.
